Is there anyway i can get a double din unit to fit where the old bose was. Im sick of rewiring this crap over and over just to hear it distort... So now i want a new head unit and some new rear door speakers... What is the best double din unit and how do i make it fit into my dash where the bose is... Doesnt crutchfield make a piece or does nissan??
thanks,
Adam

I just want to say that you don't need to put in a double DIN unit. You can put in a single din unit. There are 2 kits avaiable, one from Metra and one from Scosche. The Metra one is kinda chessy, but it's what I have in my dash right now. Take a look....

The little pocket beneath the din opening will hold 2 CD cases. I think it is also big enough to do a 1/2 din eq or something like that. Hope this helps!!

How much do those kits cost? When I got my stereo, those weren't available so I went to the dealership and bought the one that they have... and it has the factory look. By factory i mean that the grey part right above the a/c matches... and the factory pocket is bigger.

cwally: Sweet!! I would like for this thing to match the factory dash, but a dash kit can take care of that real quick!!

Cwally: I have those kits at my work for $14.99. They look ok. What I did is I took a radio trim bezel out of a 5th gen GXE Maxima, put it in my car with a Nissan Factory pocket. You remember seeing inside of my car right? If you want to do it the way I did PM me and I'll hook you up at Mossy Nissan down the road from my work. I know the parts manager down there and can get your parts wholesale for you. Let me know, I'll be at work today after 12pm.
