first off, my apologies to maximadave for not thanking him as promptly as he hooked me up. in spite of the fact that ive been here at school now a week and a half, i only last night got my computer set up.

anyway, so dave got me an INCREDIBLE deal on a escort passport 8500 radar detector. the entire process was easier and faster than if i had gone into any tweeter store and purchased it myself for full price. i simply called dave at his store on my way down to school, he generated the invoice while on the phone, and i simply exited off the nj turnpike for the tweeter store in maple shade. i didnt spend more than 5 minutes in the store itself; i handed a sales associate an invoice number, he retrieved the merchandise, which dave so kindly had them hold specifically for me, paid, and left. easy breezy.

thanks again dave, the detector is dope and i didnt have any problems/complications with the purchase.

peace, -v-

I think Confused just installed one and he also has pics. Try to shoot him a PM. The search function is not working or I would have posted his thread.

I've heard radar guns travel at 1000 meters and the detectors go up to 800... i know it is all opinion, but what would be the ultimate radar detector...?

Hmmm... I'm in the market for one myself.. what are recommendations on a remote mount unit? dad's got an 8500 and he's happy with it, but I want to hide mine in my dash- either inside the gauge cluster, or just above the radio.. what's out there, and how much?

thanks

Do you take paypal? I think I have about $200 in my account right now so I'll have to move some in first....For my sanity check, this is the full 8500 kit with carrying case, etc....
How much for the JL Audio 12W7....and 12W3 also. Thanks.

I only take credit cards over the phone. Sorry, Tweeter does not take pay pal. Don't worry I will take care of you on price when you are ready...it won't expire anytime soon until that model gets discontinued. On the 12W7's $750.00 each, 13W7's are $750.00 each, and the 10W7's are $550.00 each. They should be in soon.
