Whaddup MaxLovers!!

I just wanted to get on and see if anyone else out here is running a Sony Xplod system in a Maxima (Check my website for a few pics of my system). I just bought a Pioneer Premier deck and am thinking of swapping my system out for a Premier system. I like Pioneer's 6 disk in dsh changer. Anybody heard the sound quality difference between the two systems? I just like the thought of a six disc in dash changer.

Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

Peace!

Everything that Sony makes sucks. I would advise getting other stuff. But you don't have to get everything from the same company, you know.

Actually Sony makes a few nice products, most of which have an ES label somewhere. I have used an ES amp and currently have an ES tape headunit and changer. I only would't get another sony CD because there is no pause button. But the sound quality is great all the way to 63 which is the max.

Personally, I'm not a big Sony fan, but their ES stuff gets good marks. As long as you go with the higher-end ES and not their regular "consumer" grade stuff, you shouldn't be disappointed. But go give it a listen with a few of your favorite tracks and decide for yourself.

Sure, the magazines might rank them high for features and stuff, but Sony stuff is incredibly unreliable. The magazines and ads don't convey the reliability issue.

JBL doesn't make much high-end stuff, but for budget systems, JBL equipment is tops. It is good stuff for the money.
