Head Unit Trim Ring and Dash Kit
When installing a Head unit with a detachable face there is that trim ring that fits over the unit. When you have a dash kit installed (Like JT Italian Burlwood) the trim ring doesn't fit. I modified the trim ring to fit but it's pretty crappy.
I was just wondering if anyone else came across this problem and what they did

Roll your own!
Get some black plexiglass or ABS plastic and make your own to fit your specific deck and dash kit. http://www.selectproducts.com has the raw materials.

Yup.. I just used a piece of clear Lexan I had from my amp rack.. tape over both sides of it, then cut a hole to fit the faceplate through..
when you're done with that, paint the BACKside of the plexi whatever color you want, and it'll look great!
there are pics on my website somewhere...
I'll post links later when I find them.
