Stealthbox amp question #2

Thanks for everybodies response to recommendations for an amp for the stealthbox. I still haven't quite decided on one, but here is my second question:

I currently have an old Kenwood 4 channel 160 watt amp (4X40) running my four 6.5s (2 Infinitys, 2 Rockford Fosgates). If I add the JL Audio 250/1 amp (or something similar), will the car handle it okay? I am talking about the charging system, headlights, etc. Thanks in advance for your answers. I don't forsee a problem, but just wanted to ask you guys/gals who may have similar setups.

The 250/1 is a Class D amp, which is very efficient and won't put a huge strain onto your charging system. Also, it has a regulated power supply, so a cap won't help.

But the 10w6 needs 300 watts

I know many of you are recommending the JL 250/1 amp. But since the Stealthbox comes with a w6, it is recommended to feed it 300 watts RMS. Is the JL 250 underrated?

But that doesnt mean that it's not a good choice. You dont HAVE to run a speaker at its Max rated RMS. My stealthbos only runs on about 190 watts RMS, and does just fine. Try not to get too stuck on numbers, and look for an amp that plays cleanly. The 300 watts rating should be a starting point to work from.
