More Bose Questions.....

If i understand the setup of the bose system in my car correctly, I have 4 amps each powering a single bose speaker. If the amps can handle the odd ohm loads of the bose speakers, couldnt i use the speaker outs on a aftermarket head unit as the signal for the bose amps? If i did this, wouldn't i avoid putting that odd ohm load from the speakers on my aftermarket head unit? I know that i wont be getting any gains in sound performance from doing this, but shouldn't it work?

a. u would have to find a way to turn on all the individual amps every time u turn on the radio....rig something up...

b. in theory...u can take the signal out from an aftermarket head unit and put into the input of the individual amp...as a matter of fact ur aftermarket head unit had already amplify the signal...when it goes thru the bose amp it should amplify it some more...which in turns should come out louder....

c. if u can accomplish (a) then (b) should be relatively easy...but there mite be some problems along the way...can come up with any rite now...

is there not already a remote turn on for the amps?
Also, someone told me that the amps have some weird eq settings built in...does anyone know if this is true?

If what you are trying to do is use an aftermarket head unit with the bose speaker, then you could buy a module(like a wire harness) that lets u add a head unit while keeping the amps and the speaker.

remote turn on for the amp comes from the bose head unit...and yeah u can buy a module and keep the stock amp and speakers but it cost like 150 or so...
