Want Add Remote Start

I have a 600esp Viper alarm and I would like to add a remote start. DEI sells the matching component for $150 and other companies sell add-ons to "most systems" for about $50.

I am pretty sure my alarm has enough channels to add a component on but what's the difference?

Not sure if you got a 2000+ maxima, but I know for those you will need to buy the DEI VIPER component, I forget the model #, but it is called a ignition bypass. This is because the 2000+ came with the coded key thing and without it the car is not going to start.

You might want to talk to MAXIMADAVE, he is better at that question than me. He KNOWS ALL ABOUT the Viper alarms and what you need and dont need.

My installers as we speak are installing a Clifford Concept 100 with remote start.

If you have a 5th gen Max, you need a DEI 555U. It is a factory by-pass module so you can do remote start. You need to use one of your spare keys though for this feature to work on your alarm IF you have a 5th gen Maxima...retail on the part is $24.99

If you just want to add remote start, the DEI part number is 551T
Retail is $150.00...I dont stock this part anymore
