Ok, I have the 97 Mazima with the Bose system and just got the Alpine W205 and I got the Amp integration Harness Metra Part 70-7551 harness and it turns on but I'm not getting any volume. Do I have to do something?

I read this:
"Some headunits require you to have your internal amp switched off in order to utilize the preamp outs, including the subwoofer rca's. In my case, i got no signal from the hu to my subs the original way because my internal amplifier was enabled."

Does that apply to me? Is there a switch that I use to turn it on or off?

The three items I bought were:
Metra 70-7551 Harness
Metra AD NI1 40-NI10 Antenna Adapter
Metra 95-7417 Dash Kit

Make sure the blue wire is hooked up to both blue wires on the harness also make sure you ground properly. Ground the alpine directly don't wire it to the black wires on the wiring harness.

you need to connect the blue/white to the car's amp turn on wire to ensure the BOSE amps turn on, as right now they are not.

Do NOT connect the blue and blue/white wires all together...you're asking for trouble if you do this

ok, I got the volume up and running. Thanks for that. Now I got the PAC TR-7 but I don't think I have that hooked up properly cause no video is working. I got this from the internet is it right:

http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductD...ief_052510.pdf

red on the tr-7 to red on the headunit harness
black on the tr-7 to black on the headunit harness
green on the tr-7 to blue/white on the headunit harness
blue on the tr-7 to yellow/black on headunit harness
white on the tr-7 to yellow/blue on the headunit harness

I called and talked to the guys from PAC, they said try switching the two wires (blue/white on the headunit harness/black on headunit harness) so I'll try that tomorrow...

ok, so I tried switching the wires and it didn't work. Anyone else have any ideas why the video doesn't work with the TR-7?

that should do it, the way you have it - Ive put in plenty with no issues. there is no programming involved... did you get the TR7 used? if so it may need to be reset as it might be programmed for something else

should be

black to black
red to red
green to blue/white
blue to yellow/black
white to yellow/blue

you don't have anything else hooked up to the park/hand brake wires right?

Yes, that all works, so I figured it out and will post for anyone else that may have a problem with this later on. I connected the back to the negative from the factory wiring harness and that was the problem. I fixed it by taking the negative and grounding it to the chassis with the Alpine head unit. When this is done, then a red light will come on within the TR7 and that's how you know it is on. Good luck to anyone else that tries this.
