choose CD/MD changer, advice please.

Just plan to install a new HU (SONY CDX GT-310). Might add a CD or MD changer.

My question is, are the changers other than SONY brand working with SONY HU? What kind of cable/adapter should I use?

Second question is, what's the size difference between 6-disc and 10-disc changers? Is the size difference significant? I plan to mount the changer under central arm rest or in the glove box.

The real questions at hand are: a) Why would you want Sony in your car, and b)who the hell still uses changers/why would you want one?
Its 2007...Get an ipod and a radio with a good ipod adapter and call it a day.

No, only the sony changer will work with sony radios.

Only Sony changers work with Sony HUs, AFAIK. I still have a MD walkman and a handful of MDs, but I haven't used them since I got an Ipod and put my 6500+ songs on it. I'm not an Apple fanboi, but I love controlling it through my head unit. Fortunately, more and more head units will now work with any USB MP3 player.

The 10 disc changer is too large to go in a glovebox or center console, at least for a maxima. I had to trunk mount mine. (I had a Sony HU and 10 disc changer in the trunk)
