Aftermarket CD Player Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,

I have a Kenwood KDC-716S aftermarket cd player in my 95 SE. It's a sweet little setup that flips around 180 degrees when turned off or on so you can't even tell there is a CD player installed when it is off.

It stopped working all of a sudden while in the "on" position and once in a great while the radio function decides to start working again but not the cd function. I uninstalled it, checked the fuse in the back and the connections and reinstalled it. After that it worked for a day but whenever it turned on the display was garbled for a few seconds before working normally. After that it stopped working again completely.

Anyone know what could be the problem here and how I could fix it?

Thanks in advance.
