When the manual talks about the woofer being a "large distance" from the tweeter, how far are we talking here? I'm curious if the stock locations in the 4th gen maxima front doors are a "large distance" apart or not.

Yes they are, and I would reverse the phase on the tweets. I noticed a big difference with the phase reversed.

By large distance they mean tweets near the top of the door or on the a's and the mids down low on the door.

No need to actually reverse the phase. Polarity settings are on the crossover already.

just got them installed in my altima yesterday. at first they were just alright n didnt seem like much more than the current arc audio coaxial speakers i already had. then i talked to nismo n he told me to disconnect the pos metal tweeters i had and now all i can say is wow. it sounds amazing even at high volumes and the tweeters def sound good not that ear piercing brightness that those pos metal tweeters i had installed had.

There's a single mounting hole on the bottom. I haven't gotten around to putting the speakers in yet but I did replace the crossovers with my CDT crossovers and they make CDT's sound a lot better. I haven't even played around with all the options yet. My CDT crossover's came with two options which was to turn the tweeter down a bit or turn it up a bit.

is this gb over? i'm kind of considering trying these but i need to get rid of these cdt first. can't justify buying another set with a brand new one right here.

I am not happy, after getting in on the Group Deal the SLC's make my other speakers sound like crap so I will be spending more money soon to even things out. Ignorance is bliss.

The full range? The 80-20khz from the slc's should cover the full range and a sub for <80 hz
