i ran my on the side (under the little plastic things) and it was perfect! and i'd definitely suggest it. I had to drill a little hole through my firewall.

clutch plate. Should have one in your engine bay. Clean and Easy way to do it. If your running a MT you might have to drill a hole in the engine bay. As for running it to your trunk, just go down the tracks in your door jambs and up thru the back seat. Just make sure you run your RCA's seperate from the power cable. Even with shielded cables its an unecessary risk for feedback.

just drill through the firewall. there should be enough room for an 8 gauge. i crammed a 0 gauge near the door sills down the side of the car, and a 4 gauge down the side of my 3rd gen.

No drilling is necessary. (Atleast on a 4G)

I just ran my power wire alongside the cable for the hood release.
It works out very nicely as it exits the inside of the left fender right by the battery.

You still have a hood release cable though? (or is it electrically actuated)

the hood relese has a cable but its hard to trace. i finally got my wiring kit checked the whole car for about 15min with no success right now i lost hope. i'm trying to do it w/o drilling but right now it looks like its impossible with drilling coz there so many wires and **** runnig on the other side of the firewall i might break something. any tips pics please i need help bad. i don't know why i always get stuck wiht cars that are hard to work on should have stick wiht a honda accord could have done the installation with my eyes closed.

Also i have a hifonics 1000w amps with 500wRMS will a 10AWG wire be enough i bought a 8AWG from ebay but as always

10G is cutting it close, I would run the 8G myself. Once its run already, its easy enough to just pull through the 8G. I have 0G ran in my 2k3 MT maxima, and you would only notice the small hump at the side if you really knew it was there and looked. I did however have to drill through the firewall.

Im running 0 gauge myself...I skipped the whole taking the tire off, and looking for the hole under the wheel well plastic covers....I went ahead and drilled a whole through my firewall, however...I ran my RCA's (shielded) right next to main power cable....it was getting dark out, and living in the city with no garage is no help.

this is the EASY way....I did this for my cousin's 5.5gen.
Right under the fender liner you'll see cables going from the engine bay to the interior.

I always pull the carpet up a lil from the sides and tuck it down low. Drill a hole in the firewall and use a grommet and silicone to seal. Then you will be good to go.

I ran my 8 ga wire behind the front wheel fender (driver's side). Then, down by the bottom door hinge there was a hole I was able to route it through (I think this is right by the kick panel to the left of the dead pedal). If you open the driver's side door, you can see the red cable in the gap in front of the door. Some might say it's ghetto, but I don't go to competitions and no one has ever noticed it.

My amp is under my front seat, so I just ran it down the side under the carpet to the front seat, but you could continue it to the back, just like on any other car.
