I got Sony Xplod speakers with question for y'all
I read alot of things with the search feature, and most people say either I need an adapter/converter to use non Bose speakers with my Bose Unit.
My front Bose speaker was acting up in my 4th gen, so I took them out. Now I got the Sony Xplods and was wondering if I connect them to my Bose head unit, will that be okay? I read somewhere where the sound quality will be lesser, or 25% of the power, or where somebody said it can damaged either headunit/speaker.
Whats the deal?

I don't think there's a kit to do that. I know Crutchfield sells an adapter to use an aftermarket head with the BOSE speaker system but not the reverse. If you are replacing the speakers, you might as well replace the whole system. The BOSE head has no amplification and I don't think you can hook it up to an aftermarket amp to power your Sony speakers.
