Stock speaker problems

I did a search, but I couldn't find anything.

I've noticed that on my 1998 gxe that the rear speakers are much more louder than the front. Is this what my stock speakers are supposed to sound like? If I turn off the rear speakers I can barely hear the front. I even put 75% of the volume for the front speakers, but it doesn't sound as powerful. Is it supposed to be like this? It isn't my headunit because it's done this to my Pioneer and my JVC + the stock unit. Any suggestions on how to fix this if it is a problem?

My 2000 Altima sounds better than my Maxima. I don't think it should be like this. I have a JVC SH55 in the Maxima and the Altima has a stock cd-deck.

I'm not knowledage about audio that much so please don't flame.
Thanks

Mine is 96 GXE with standard radio and 4 speakers. My front and rear speakers sound OK to me. I tried 100% power on front versus 100% on rear. Rear speakers are slightly louder than front, with a little lower frequency. I guess the location makes a little difference.
