I've been looking into options on replacing my infamous '03 BLOSE stereo and came across this new Clarion radio:

I'd like to stick with a 2Din size radio to retain as much of a "factory" look as possible but do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a fancy DVD or NAV system. This Clarion seems to fit the bill as it looks practically OEM with its clean design, large buttons, and white backlighting. It has full USB iPod control and a front AUX input. Retail is $299 but I'd imagine it can be had for less once it becomes widely available.

Anyway, this may be your ticket if you're looking for a fairly inexpensive 2Din radio with a decent feature set.

 

really clean look... maybe even "way to clean"...

I am also looking for a 2-Din without NAV, but the DVD thing is confusing: I wanted a MP3 player that plays DVD, but NOT the DVD Video stuff (i guess i am old for not understanding why I would want to watch videos in a 4" screen while driving...)

I cant find a mp3 player that will read DVDs but not play videos...
