New HU: Bose Speakers Popping

I bought a brand new HU, the Pioneer Premier DEH-P690UB. I also bought the Metra 70-7551 wiring harness for the install. The install went smoothly, connected everything, and double checked the connections.

The HU turns on fine and plays cd's without a problem, but when I change sources, and adjust the volume sometimes, the speakers pop. It doesn't matter what volume is set, it pops the same way.

Is there any way to fix this, or is this a defective HU?

Typical bose problem, HU is not defective. The amps do not turn off when the system switches inputs.

I would also really like to know if there is any possible solution to this problem, as I have the same exact problem with my Alpine headunit that I tried to install with the same harness. Anyone out there have any idea?

hahha you guys should be reading my bose thread, i updated it with a fix. Buy these ground loop isolators. Gets rid of the popping between songs, on/off, changing source types, radio station changes, and will kill the alt whine in most cases. It worked for me . make sure u buy two of them, u have 4 channels to rig up.

AWESOME! I knew someone out there would have something about this. I also read the thread about the Bose conversions and such; very informative. I really appreciate the info. Thanks
