best buy sound systems?

Can you get even anything decent at Best Buy? I don't even have my Max yet, just have a '95 Geo so I don't need anything great, but I work at Best Buy so I'm just trying to see if it's worth it to get anything because I get the discount on top of it all.

the first time i had a new HU installed, but anytimei turned on anything else electrical such as the headlights or turn signals, the radio would turn off ... cost me an extra $300 to get the wiring redone

I have heard that from a couple of people who had the same problem at Best Buy also. I, personally, want everything in my car to look stock so I want the Bose System, but from what I have seen there wasnt much @ Best Buy when I went yesterday to get some music... The guy that was back there bored me to death and I wanted to just do his job for him.... The systems looked a lil cheap and I didnt fully understand all the capabilities of them because he didnt really explain well. In my opinion I would try somewhere else for a better deal before I bought from there....

my boyfriend works at bestbuy, and he set me up with some good stuff and the installer that he's real cool with did a great job on my install..so to answer your question, yes you can get some good stuff if you pick the right things.....he said check on accommodations for the infinity speakers and pioneer accommodations that you guy's have

why not? might as well use your employee discount while you can. i'm sure if you choose carefully, your setup will sound pretty good even though they're "best buy sound systems."

exactly. i'm not expecting anything great coming from best buy. i'm driving around a '95 geo prizm anyways. i don't need anything great. just something better than a standard geo speaker. i'll probably get my cousin to do the install anyways. i trust him more than the installers at my job.

alright i'll check out those accommodations. hopefully it's a good price cause i don't wanna put too much into a geo. thanks for the tip. thank your boyfriend for me too.

Don't talk about the installers at Bestbuy. All of them are not incompetent, only most.

I recommend that if you have an iPod or anything, go with an Alpine deck that has the iPod integration, every other deck i've seen is so slow at scrolling through the thing.
