Amp Kept Shutting Off Today...
I'm assuming it's becasue it was the first day we reached 80 degreez....So probably got hot. How can I keep these things cool? IS there some kind of central cooling system I can throw in the trunk?
it doesn't shut off. It goesd into protect (Kicker ZX650.4)

Option 1:
Check all your wiring, your gauges, your fuses etc. Maybe your blowin your amp fuses. Just a thought. There are 'thin line amp fans' that you could by and wire them up to a simple switch, maybe your remote wire so when the amp comes on, the fans kick on also.
Option 2:
Keep it in a well ventilated area. If you have it mounted on the back of a box, or somewhere where air can't circulate in a full 360 degree area, maybe think about getting some rubber bump stops that are 1/2" - 1" in height & about the size of a quarter and drill a hole through them, then get a longer screw to mount your amp to whatever it is already on.
Got a pic of your set up?
Good luck

I don't have a pic. could get one. Just to let cha know, it is a 4 channel amp. It's the only thing I have running right now, so I have no sub boxes. It's just laying on drywall and the carpet

i think the arc has a fan in it. How much do the arc amps go for? Thinking about getting them for each sub.
Anyway, i have my amp hooked up to the AudioControl Three.1 Equlizer. I don't have the gains up on the amps at all...hower with the gains on the equlizer, they are set to half which is 10db on the 20db limit. it can push up to 13volts.
This morning I was only driving for 30 minutes and it went into protect, and its not warm at all....I'm going do do some testing on it today. The only thing I did, change was adding the other interconnect on the 4 channel so the front and back would be separated, would that cause any problems? I had it running on one RCA all last year....
