I wish I knew where to get some pics for you. It would help. I will do my best. First remove the plastic piece that is around your shifter. I use a putty knife or something similar. Be careful. It is easy to damage the surrounding plastic as it is soft. Pop out air vent. If it is the first time you have ever taken it out, it will be a little stiff, but it will come. once those 2 pieces are removed, there are 2 screws on the bottom and 2 screws on the top that need to be removed to release the entire housing for the radio. Be sure to remove the harnesses from the rear before you pull the HU out. If you are using the stock housing you will need to remove the 4 screws that hold the radio in to release the stock HU.

Maybe someone else can offer up pics. My camera is broken or I would go out and take mine out and snap some pics. I hope this was helpful.

I forgot to ask if you had a Bose or non-Bose car.
