My friend just replaced his entire sound system and he gave me his stock bose 6disc cd/radio, bose amp, 4 bose speakers, bose subwoofer from his 2002 Maxima GLE. My question is, can I use the 4 bose speakers as an upgrade on my civic or Will I need to hook up the bose amp in order for it to work properly?


Or should I just sell it on ebay?

He gave me:
1 Factory 6disc CD Changer/Radio
4 Bose Speakers
1 Bose Amp
1 Bose Subwoofer

 

Sell it on ebay. But you will need the Bose amp if you wanted to hook it up the "right" way.

 

I just replaced my BLOSE HU with alpine (CDA-9881). I had the traditional left-side speaker shut off problem that I fixed once but was never happy with it, and I think my fix might have resulted in mis-aligning the CD reader laser. Anyway, I don't know what to do with the HU- it works, but skips on the first few and last few tracks on CDs.

Shoud I chuck it? What would someone pay for this on eBay?

 

There really is no 'right way' or even worthwhile way to utilize a Maxima's Blose system in a Civic.
