as my audio build has grown into a carpc build i think i need an in-dash equalizer. my research has led me to look at hardware tuning vs. software. so what's the best of the best (or at least really good ) here?

what i'm looking for:
5-7 bands
line driver
1/2 din

so far i like the arc xeq. the clipping light is a nice feature since i will be running of a sound card which are known to have low v preouts (not sure about mine in particular, i got a nice one).

i know the ssld6 is known for its greatness but would a quality eq/line driver be able to replace it? i just want to keep it simple.

 

I have a Very good thought in mind, but it will be semi limited. Excellent piece that Im trying to bring back, Ill post some more info a bit later ..

the whole point was for you (don) to update me on your idea (no, i'm not going to call you ).

the thing about the h650 is the imprint which, according to my reading, can probably tune better than me if i can manage to set it up right.

the h900 is just plain out of my price range. no ifs, ands, or buts.

how so? i am not changing my mind... just trying to make it up (this time ).
