My friend is trying to sell me:

(1) Pro Series 5.4x component set with crossovers
and
(1) Pro Series 4.4x component set with crossovers

all for 100 bucks. From looking at the speakers they are in immaculate condition but look as if they are a few years old. Am I correct? Cannot find any retailers selling these models anymore. But to my question. Is this worth it? My current setup is Infinity Ref. 6.5 components which suck in my opinion way too tinny with an Infinity Kappa 12 all powered by a Rockford Fosgate P400.4. From looking at the size of the magnets I can believe that they will be much louder but will the sound quality be there? Thanks for your help.

 

They were a nice set back in the days. I would say those are about 6-7 years old..perhaps older (Don, correct me if I am wrong). I was looking into a set but couldn't afford it. For that price, its a good deal even if its old stuff. I would take it IMHO.
