Pioneer D2 Install. Where does the speed signal input connect to?

ok i bought a Pioneer D2 Navigation Unit on ebay for $320 and it had everything but the speed signal and reverse input leads. It works great but the nav is always off by a couple of blocks and reading the install and operations manual say that not having these connected would affect accuracy. ok enough story.

i bought the two leads and reverse signal input is connected fine. What do i connect the speed signal input lead to? i know theres a speed signal sensor on top of the tranny but im lost... HELP PLEASE!

95 SE 5spd

look at your FSM. dunno about the 95 but for my 97,
one way of doing it is tapping into the middle harness (M83) behind the gauge cluster, pin #28

it is pin 28. and thats the correct one in the diagram. i want to know if i can get it from under the dash or i have to pull the gauges off. i havent looked because here in dallas its been over 100 for 11 days in a row, but im pretty sure you should be able to get it from under the dash. Im working 4a-1p so i just come home and got to sleep since im on the org until 12a! Do you have pictures of yours put on already? i had mine on and now i took it off since i have to run the wiring(16g monster audio) for my speakers(pioneer 6.5 component set in front and pioneer 6.5 4ways in back)

haha that's so weird that we're both doing it at the same time. i spent all day cutting wires and putting quick disconnects on everything. I'll have pics up by tomorrow but I'm going to probably pull the gauges out to get it bc I have a good feeling it'll be easier. Unless I locate where it is on the speed unit (the box is most likely in the center behind the radio) I'll be def pulling off the gauges...100 degrees!!! It's been like 83 here in PA and I'm dying haha..thanks for the help

^^^^^ 83? i wish! it hit 105 actually on monday but felt like113 according to the news! and our speed sensor is mounted on the tranny so the wire should come through a one of the holes in the firewall. and do you have a bose? if you do are you using the bose or new speakers and wiring? Whats taking me so long is that 3 of my bose were blown so i said F*** it, ill just change them out so now ive been taking my back seat, panels, etc to barely run the back ones!

ahh man, i can't deal with heat..i'm still going at it. i don't have bose anymore so it's a little easier for me right now. i remember those days of running those PITA wires.
