Powered Antenna Booster

On the 5th Gen. does anyone know if the powered antenna booster in the right rear C-pillar is powered off a relay. I want to get power to it, but don't know if I should tap into it directly at the booster itself, or get power to it through the stock wire harness.

Power comes directly from factory head unit (G/W wire)
