I'm extremely happy with my line driver and seen a significant difference. It did exactly what you are asking for, to improve strength of volume for lack of better words.

actually, that does sound like a good solution.
If you are buying a car just for speed you shouldn't be buying a maxima. And I never suggested replacing the whole entire system. I apologize for not being like everyone else and not suggesting the simple quick band aid. A source unit that provides a preout voltage that the amp can work with or an amp that can work with the current preout voltage would have been a real fix.

and that's different than a line driver how? please explain.

Audiocontrol makes a bass restores all the epicenter its pretty decent.
