Sub on 4th gen rear deck???
Sub on 4th gen rear deck???
Well hopefully I don't get flammed for this....
I have had my sub out of my trunk for the past few months. I really enjoy using the trunk space but miss that extra thump to my music.
Other than purchasing component speakers to improve my mid range or something like that I would like to use my existing sub somehow without losing all my trunk space.
Is it possible to mount a sub on the rear deck without being in an enclosure and it still sound ok?
Could someone show some pics of their compact install in a 4th gen or similar trunk.
Its a 12" JBL, I forget all the specs but I've had it for a few years and am very happy with it.

just make a tiny box for it. i probably works in like 1ft cubed, which btw is small as hell. like really tiny.
or buy a Jl stealth box and throw it in.
I'v never been a fan of IBs but that's me.
