Navi In ashtray 5th gen. Update.

Okay Guys and Gals. Had to remove the external speaker due to it being so annoying.

And Figured I would show the rear of the Ash tray. and where the hole was for the wire.

( This Mod took me literally 45 min, I just hate anything that is suction cupped to a window)

I have the power wired to the rear cig lighter. so it turns on when the car is started. It turns off about 5 mins after I turn off the car.
Fits perfect. It matches the TE edition very well.

Pics from Camera Phone (deal with it)

(I was stuck in Traffic and the External speaker I installed would not stop Chiming, So I started to take Pics)

Looks Even More like factory at Night I get Comments all the Time, "Like Is that Stock!!!"

It comes Out Very Easily. Here is Where The Power Wire Comes Through Had to Cut a Very Small hole On passenger Side. Can go back to stock and The hole will never be visible.

Parking in The Garage Saw this ( I know It has nothing to do with electronics but W/E, Its redic)

Nice work man, if I didn't have my iPod screen stuff there, I'd seriously think about doing it the same.

Nice job, looks good. Which brand/model is that? Do you know which others fit snugly like that?

go ashtray!

i can post pics tonight but it is quite simple, it takes a mild modification to your shifter bezel.. i drive auto so i cut the trim a little to make it fit

i'll post a pic in this of a 4th gen install

4th gen install

cut isn't perfect or what not but either is my car! ha so this really works for me

Its plugged in by extra cigarette lighter.. but the cigarette lighter is out of sight behind the dash running directly to the battery through a fused wire. This option is nice because i can have the nav screen plugged in with the car off.. never have to worry about the sheit 4 hour battery life the nuvi 205 has

Screw smokers, its navigation all the way
