Doesn't REALLY matter, but I'd put it before.

Why do you need an equalizer?

Actually it does. Why use a LD prior to an eq if the eq has a limited output? Counter productive if you ask me ..

I think what you meant to say was eq before the LD right?

No I don't think I need an HO alt and a battery for my intended system, I did for the old one...thanks.

THe reason I was asking about order becasue I looked for specs on one of the pioneer equilizers and the preamp for it is 1.1v or sumthing low like that. So I didn't know if that would cancel out the voltage from the radio or if the voltage from the radio would match the output voltage of the equlizer. THerefore I wanted to know if it made sense to put LINE DRIVER in after the equlizer.

THe reason I want an equilier is because I don't like the EEQ 3 band equilizers on radios. Doesnt give you alot of space to tune your sound...Going with pioneer for a head unit with a monitor and Im not in need of any of that high end dvd players...until the new Eclipe HU comes out...but Pioneers dvd players all seem to have the EEQ so I want a 7 to 11 band equilizer thats easier to deal with.
