Laser Diffuser...
Laser Diffuser...
Hey guys,
Im looking for a laser diffuser. Basically don't know where to start. I have a Valentine One hardwired to my car but apparently its no match for laser since I got a ticket today. 83 in a 55. Maximas are meant to be driven man.... But anyways could you guys recommend something? Maybe a stand alone so I can keep my v1 or maybe a complete unit that jams laser perhaps radar also? Price isnt too much of a option I can save for it if it is expensive. Thanks in advance

I've heard only good things from this one:

Escort Passport ZR3 Laser Shifter.... There is one in my parts car I have yet to rip out.

If you get a warning signal for laser on your radar, it's too late. Laser cannot pickup a warning signal bounced off of any object surrounding you, and there is no frequency to catch. It's a direct line of sight. (Hence Laser Technology)
The Escort Passport ZR3 Laser Shifter is probably one of your top alternatives to use in a Laser defense system.

I have the jammer and did not get a ticket for 3 years with it on it. I just recently got run down by a charger at the toll boot in baltimore and nothing went off! I was doing 76 in 45 so you know he got me for a great ticket. Also the jammer elimates your chance of being hit from a laser trap since it goes off immediatley! Get the passport done i have the SR7 and ZR3. works well!
Had my 1st encounter with Laser...I was going about 60 in a 45. As soon as I heard the v1 go off I hit the brakes to about 45 mph...no ticket. there was no car in front of me or behind me either...very proud of the V1. I always assumed from reading on the net laser detection is worthless, but not so in my case. I got lucky I guess...or maybe the cop was too busy eating donuts to pull me over?

Unfortunately the Laser Interceptor tested was a prototype, not production, and they are very new to the US. So, they have no production model tests results, and they have not been out log enough to have good reliability feedback yet.
I bought the Blinder, as they have been performing well for a few years now, with consistent results. I also have had excellent results with them. But, I also have Veil Laser coating, and have taken steps to reduce the reflective items on my car.
But, since purchase Nov. 07, my wife and I have hit 4 traps at 11MPH or more over. One at 25MPH over at only 200-500ft, and I still walked right through. I can personally attest that BLinder and Veil together are awsome!
In case anyone is interested I purchased all avoidance stuff from Needfultoyz.com. I paid $1000 for the whole system; retail is $1300.

Hello racers, I can write only this, I have BMW M3 e39 and I have purchased laser jammer SS 7.0, I am not an expert but it saved me several times, I hear some beeping when police is measuring me, but I just press pedal to the metal.
If this is any help check this web site www.ss-instruments.com this the manufacturer, and also I would like to point out that I have been asking some questions them and they have been very helfull and they replied to me in 2 hourse.
thank you technicians at ss instruments

Just thought I'd leave an update for those interested...I'm up to 13 laser traps in the last 13 months, 1/month, all WELL over the limit, and still no ticket yet. some so far over the limit I won't post it on a public forum.
I've averaged 2 tickets+/year of driving, that's over 50 tickets in my life...but since I installed the Bel STi, Blinder jammer, and Veil...0!
If you speed and you don't get this type of set up...you are giving away $$.

haha from mythbusters....
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by jingling a set of keys.
busted
The keys had no effect at all.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by dangling a disco ball from the rear-view mirror.
busted
The disco ball had no effect at all. It is also illegal to have anything large and obstructive hanging off the rear-view mirror.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by dangling CDs from the rear-view mirror.
busted
The CDs had no effect at all, and are also illegal.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by covering the hubcaps in tin foil.
busted
The tin foil did not have any noticeable effect.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by covering the entire car in tin foil.
busted
The tin foil acted as a massive reflector and actually enhanced the detection ability of the radar.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by jamming the lidar by lining the front license plate with light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
busted
The LEDs were not strong enough to interfere with the lidar.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by jamming the lidar by covering the entire car with LEDs.
not tested
While the idea did come up in the brainstorming phase it was simply too impractical to test on the full-scale car.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by jamming the radar by bouncing microwaves at it.
busted
Kari’s magnetron failed to jam the police radar.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by shooting scraps of tin foil behind the car as chaff.
busted
There were just too many rogue variables to get the system to work properly, especially wind. The car was still detectable and the chaff did nothing to disrupt the radar. This solution would also likely result in a much stiffer penalty for littering.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by spinning a wheel of mirrors on top of the car slower than the actual speed of your car.
partly busted
Tory’s "Wheel of Death" actually tricked the radar into thinking the car was going one or two miles per hour slower, but not enough to help. The device itself was highly impractical. Unlike the rear-view mirror attachments, the roof mounted device was actually not illegal.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by painting the car matte-black to absorb the radar and light beams.
busted
The all black paint did nothing to reduce the detectability of the car.
It is possible to legally beat the police speed radar and/or lidar by painting the car with special radar absorbing paint, like a stealth aircraft.
not tested
The special paint is loaded with iron and goes on like frosting. It was so heavy that the toy car used in the preliminary tests could barely move. It was never properly tested on the full scale car, because it would be more expensive than just paying off any speeding tickets.

Counterpoint #1: http://forums.maxima.org/audio-elect...uysoflidar.com, independent 3rd party test, get up to speed (literally). Technology has changed!
Counterpoint #2: You figure out how it is I magically came flying up on 13 laser cops over the last year, my radar and laser jammer both register hits, sometimes in traffic, sometimes only car for a mile, each time doing 11-30 over the limit, yet never getting a ticket. Twice I could see the cops face he was so close, as I came around a corner. But none of the 13 could seem to give me a ticket...even at 85 in a 55....I love my "MYTH" laser jammer!
Counterpoint #3: why are states beginning to specifically ban laser jammers, just like some have radar detectors...due to effectiveness in avoiding tickets maybe??? http://www.radarbusters.com/legalissuesarticle.cfm
Counterpoint #4: Don't believe...better for me. I'm just informing, and have nothing to gain by educating. Actually to the opposite....most people (including cops) don't believe, which is why it's still legal and I'm able to use it in most states.
But, really please spread the doubt!!!
