Time for a new system! (Not in a Maxima, though)
As of tonight, I can call myself the proud owner of a pre-owned Acura TL! Suffice to say, the mods are a comin', the first and most obvious one will be, of course, and upgrade of the audio system.
Now, I'll be tapping in to the OEM nav system, so no need for an HU. What I will need, though, are suggestions on what to get for the 5.1 system.
HAVE'S:
Arc Audio 4150-XXK
Arc Audio 2500-XXK
Rainbow SL165s (rear doors)
Alumapro Alchemy RX (subs)
NEEDS:
Rear Deck Speakers
Front Channel Speaker
Front Door Components
Amp?
So, I'm up for suggestions. Obviously I want to round this system out appropriately. The budget is $1k, although if it climbs to 1.5 I'd live. Now, I don't think I'm going to be able to get away with just these amps, I believe I will likely need a third amp for the front stage OR the subs. I'd like to stick with the XXK line, although it's going to be a little tough to find one now.
Don, I'm up for suggestions as I'd like to stay with the Rainbow line as well.

You would have to call me. Easy car to work on too, but make sure you find the 10mm bolts hidden in the rears seats and disconnect the adaptive audio.
OEM amp is in the passenger kick and a breeze to tie to.
I do have a 2100 sitting here.

2006 Black-on-Black TL (30,700miles) / 6MT / Nav
Hence why I am posting here!
Yeah, you're right...the more I thought about it, the more I had to stop shutting out the voice that said,"Dan, you love to mod, why deprive yourself?"
I have a feeling you're helping on an Acura soon.

My boy has the 04 TL 6 speed black on black. Car is pretty quick on the highway and the stick shift is real smooth, not to mention a pretty comfortable ride. In a few years, I would not be surprised if it gets more popular as price drops...like how the legends and integras used to be...
