Suggestiongs for Front Component Speakers

As the title says, I am looking for suggestions for a set of component speakers that have a little more base than the stock Bose speakers that are in the 02 Max now. I was looking into the Alpine SPS-600C http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPS6...0C.html?tp=105 but there doesn't seem to be much reviews on it. Looking for a set that has a little more bass that the stock ones and something simple doesn't have a set of crossovers. I upgraded the head unit to an Alpine CDA-9886 recently also and is making me feel as if I am not getting the full potential out of it. I'm not looking to go crazy and upgrade everything, but I was also looking into replacing the single sub thats in the rear deck also but thats another subject and not really looking to do that as of now but would appreciate any input on that also. Thanks fellas.

-You won't really find anything that has more bass than the stock speakers, at least in your current price category.

-Component sets MUST have a crossover of some sort. You are really killing yourself trying to find one that is built onto the speaker, and it will be no less work to install. In fact, it will probably end up being more work, because you will have to run a wire through the door jam whereas you wouldn't have to do so with a separate crossover.

-You will be bypassing the Bose amp when you get this installed, correct? Because you will have to do so to run the new speakers, and most shops will tell you that you can't keep the factory sub functional when you replace the head unit and speakers and bypass the mids/highs amp. (However untrue this may be)

Thanks for the info guys. I have to say that it makes more sense after kpr10is explained it. Yes I guess that I will be changing my options and will be opening up my options by not excluding speakers with crossovers. Krp10is could you recommend any Alpine or Infinity speakers that would be comparable to the SPS that I was looking at? Keep in mind that I will be doing this myself and will not be going to a shop to get this done. So no need to worry about a shop telling me something else. When I first began looking into upgrading my stereo I asked a sales guy at a local Best Buy and Circuit City and they said that I would have to rip everything out and replace it. I just walked out and started doing my own research and bought the Alpine CDA-9886 from Crutchfield and couldent be happier in upgrading that. Again thanks for the input.

Will you been running these off the HU or and external amp. An amp is always recommended of course.

I'm trying to run everything off the HU since i don't crank up the music so much so I don't think I would really benefit from it. But on the other end I think if I am convinced to change out the Bose sub then I might then just run the fronts and the sub with an amp.
