4th Generation car alarm problems

Alright, so lately my 96 maxima has been acting strange. My car alarm will randomly go off with nothing triggering it. It'll go off for 15-20 minutes and then turn itself off. It's INCREDIBLY annoying. It'll go off at 2 in the morning and wake up the entire house. Or it'll go off when I'm at work and no one hears it.

The big problem with this, is it kills my battery. I've walked outside to a dead battery sooooo many times in the last few weeks. I just bought a new battery, and I don't want this problem to kill it as well.

So does anyone know how to permanently disable a car alarm in a 4th gen maxima?

No one at all?

...I don't really mind permanently disabling the car alarm. There's not much of a point in it anyway. I would honestly rather disable it. But if someone even knows how to fix this, that'd be great.
