aftermarket CD player with maxima stock green illumination?

OK now that I resolved my wiring snafu, I still need to get iPod into my 2002 Max GLE. I'm starting to look around the web but has anyone here already found an aftermarket CD player (with iPod connectivity) that has the same green illumination as the Maxima? Any advice is greatly appreciated. If I find any I'll report here too, in case it helps the next guy.

Are you talking about the LCD screen being green? Because the illuminations on the buttons is white.

Personally, I wouldn't base a HU selection on the screen display & illumination color.

Yeah I want the new HU to match the interior illumination of the heat/AC unit & the clock. Its not my only criteria but I'm hoping to find a few that match and base my choice on color and sound/function.

Ok, to each their own.

So what exactly are your requirements for the HU besides:

iPod connectivity
Green display

Thanks. Well, I want to be able to easily navigate my iPod from the HU. On the Kenwood I have right now (going back) you have to reach all the way to the far right hand side ****, turn it and toggle it, and its lots of menus, and near impossible to do while driving. I'd like the new HU to have easier to use controls. I need CD too. I found a pioneer and a JVC that sort of comes close.

thx

Pioneer isn't bad. JVC, eh, not great.

Check out Eclipse too.

Thanks guys - I went with an Alpine CDE-9872 - due in a day or two from Crutchfield. Sound is MUCH better than the kenwood. I tried the Alpine IDA-200 from best buy and that sounded killer, but turning the large **** in the center of the unit made it tough to see the screen - my hand obstructs my view. None of the radios I found were a real true color match.

I have my 9872 installed and it sounds great, but there's a faint pop when it turns on. Its not a ground issue, I checked that out pretty thoroughly. Crutchfield tech thinks it might be the fact that I skipped the Scosche OEM adapter, but I had to- all 3 new HUs I tried sounded weak and thin with it, and SO much better without. Anyone know a home remedy for this slight pop (due to high power, and not ground)?

TIA

my older alpine CDA-9855 was pretty good, it had a variable color button control thing.. the screen was kind of white.. but the ipod controls, and the touchstripe idea was stupid.
Since then ive upgraded to a Pioneer with lights and a color display!
