Bose Wiring 6th Gen - Which wires to tap into..

EDIT: (confusing pictures removed, reworded my questions clearer)

My first post was confusing as hell so after going back out to the garage and taking a stab at some of the wires.

To give a preface, I am running the stock Bose system in my 6th gen maxima. I wish to tap the rear speakers with my hi/lo converter and add my sub/amp combo. I know this has been covered in stickies and other forums but it seems all the wire color code diagrams don't seem to match up completely so I figured I would ask if I could just do the following:

It seems there are white and black wires right at both the left rear and right rear speakers.

1. My question is can I tap into those wires for my tsunami hi/lo converter?
2. If so which ones positive/negative?
3. If I am wrong about both of the above.. what wires did you tap on your BOSE system? (a picture would be a HUGE help)

Thanks again in advance.

bump for maybe a response. I'm now assuming no one runs the stock bose system with an amp/subwoofer with a LOC on these forums?

You don't need a hi/low or a LOC. Just tap the un-amplified signals before the amp. Either behind the HU or the wires before the on-board amp on the rear deck speakers.

Thanks for the response frestyle.. I did end up resolving this and posted it on 6thgenforums. I was using the LOC but the levels were down. I have it working pretty comfortably until my new equipment comes in this week then I will make my move to an aftermarket headunit. This is just to suffice until I get some money for a nice aftermarket deck.

I have my eyes set on the F700BT :-)

I have to agree the LOC is a good alternative to spending a bunch of cash.It sounds pretty good and will fill the bass void....at least for a while.

BTW,I just put in a 700BT in my Max and its a very nice unit. You'll love it.

F700BT is awesome! I'm in love, but I would have spent the extra $150 and gotten the F900BT because it has the VSS (Helps keep track of vehicle incase you go in a tunnel) and also has the MSN traffic tracker (necessary here in Atlanta). Other than that I love mine.
