Is it bad of me...

...to leave my pm inbox full so I don't get pm's from newbs asking me everything about their non-functioning system?

I'm sure I am not the only one on here this happens to, especially Don, and this has nothing to do with you JSPizzy203 if you read this, you just happened to be the most recent of many many many people that do the same thing.

I am not google, or your installer. If you want to pay me to fix your fukced up install, tell me that with your location and details. If not, you can pay me for my time and knowledge at $20/hr for however long it takes me to write your reply, minimum half an hour accepted via paypal.

Anyone else?

As of right now, my pm inbox is 100% full. Those of you who know me on here know how to contact me elsewhere

"If you do not want to send or receive private messages, you may disable the private messaging system. "

- Uncheck enable private messaging service.

^^^probably would have worked also...

Yes, but the problem has increased the past year or so. There needs to be a box that says, only allow pm's from users with > 50 posts, or some certain number that is greater than the minimum post count required for a new thread. The kid who pm'ed me today had 3 posts, and often the people who pm me are around there as well.

i get questions like "is deadening the 6th gens doors hard to do?" or "is the info screen still usable with aftermarket HUs?"

i don't really mind...it's not that bad over here. but on 6thgenmaxima.org....i get a lot more PMs regarding audio.

I don't email or pm you questions. I call you to use your Installation Excellence because I don't want to pay their $300 fees

i was under the impression that forums were for helping people with similar interests. i'd make sure i had never asked anyone for anything before i went b***hin about questions.

oh, and if you want to sell your services pay the vendor fees.

Thats correct, however when it is something that can be found on the very first page without even searching and it becomes to nearly daily repeat questions of the same thing, it gets tiring.

i wasn't talkin to you. you're so dern helpful i need a nap when i'm done talkin to you.

point is, yeah it gets tiring and the most common questions are usually the stupidest. but stupid people need the most help and that's what forums are for.

really i don't care but making a post to whine about it is cry baby.

Hi, how much would you charge to tell me where to tap into the seat ejection wire on the Stock Bose headunit from an 03. O, and it has a 6-disc changer. My problem is that my girlfriend talks constantly which over powers my speakers and I can't enjoy the sweet symphony of my Bose Premium. I read one of the threads that had this "seat ejection" feature as a DIY, and that would be very useful for those quick runs to the grocery store. Thanks for your time, and what is your paypal?

You are taking this thread waaay too seriously, and the cry baby comment is crossing the line since you don't know me whatsoever. This is the audio forum, the thread was as much for me to *****/bullsh*t with those I know here/joke around as it was about the actual topic.

There is already a thread for that.

http://forums.maxima.org/audio-elect...ove-along.html

That may have been a more appropriate to place for it rather than starting a new thread that everyone will read.

A possible solution for you would be to create a pre-written response to newbs who PM you. The response could explain that due to the number of PM's you get, it would be appreciated if they searched first, with some direction of where to look for things in the audio forum. That way your response would just be a copy and paste, and it would be very quick for you while also being helpful to the newb.

I am in no way trying to be a d***. I know you are very helpful to a lot of people on here. Just throwing an idea out there.
