I would be interested in this too. I have the AVN6620 and would be nice to use the steering wheel controls. Is the PAC box needed?

I had one with my Pioneer Avic 700 BT and it work pretty good. The only problem was that is lagged a little, but I think thats because the Pioneer pretty much sucked.I just bought an Eclipse AVN52d and Ill be installing a Pac with it as well.Bottom line...they work and are worth the money. One thing though,if you not familiar with wiring Id suggest leaving the install to a professional. It has to tap into certain wires and you also have to use 2 very small resistors. Not a job for a newbie.

^^ Agreed. Retaining your steering wheel controls is very simple with the correct PAC module.

^^ DOUBLE agreed, if you don't know what you're doing, pay someone to have it done. If you understand electronics/wiring, you could probably get by though.

Buy a Toyota. No adapters necessary, and it works flawlessly with the steering wheel controls.

OP. The part you mentioned will do the trick.

installed with alpine head unit. Just make sure you have a good ground. I grounded mine to a nut behind the a/c controls that lock a little clear plastic box in place. Also, to make things easier, I soldered a piece of wire on either end of my resisters and then crimped the end of the wires in place with butt connectors. Hope this helps.
