Anyone familiar with this unit? I'm thinking about picking this up. I would like a double din but I am concerned about security and not being able to remove the face off most models.

So I am looking for a very flexible single din head unit that I can take the face off when I leave. So far the most cost effective but flexible unit I have found is the JVC Kameleon KD-AVX44. Can you guys take a look and tell me if you know of an alternative to this one in both price and flexibility?

it's nice but overpriced, instead I would recomend a JVC KW-AVX820...double din with a detachable screen

I agree that you should go with the single din jvc kd-avx77. The double din 820 is nice but I've heard of issues with the detachable face loosing video on the screen and the connections burning out.
