Thank you! It took me about 3 weeks, working a couple hours at a time, but I'm very pleased with the outcome!

Nice job. My only comment is around the wooden rack - I'd cover it with speaker box carpeting or other material so that it looks better and more suited as a car installation.

Is that the Pioneer 9800BT? That's a sick deck.

Does it have vehicle dynamics?

I went over a few different options for an amp rack with a local installer that I know, and his suggestion was a simple, stained, pine rack. He said everybody had carpet, and it would be something different. I had some poplar stock left over from some home remodeling, so I used that. He told me he'd carpet it for me if I ended up not liking it stained, but it's kinda growing on me...and it's not something you see every day!

Yes, it's the Pioneer Premieer DEH-P980BT. It will measure vehicle rpm's to be used as a faceplate background, but does not have vehicle dynamics.

Fair enough - you made a decision and are sticking to it. If you like it, that's all that really matters.

Thanks,

I figure if/when I get tired with it, it isn't that big of a deal to carpet it.

I got a bulk pack of Dynamat Xtreme off of an ebay vendor...I think it was $125 and free shipping for 39 square feet.

I believe it was hookedontronics, but I'm not sure. We bought them on my buddies ID as they had two at that price and we bought both of them and split the cost.

Thank you! It's definitely not something you see everyday, just about everything is carpeted.

Not diggin the woodgrain. It just doesn't match up with anything in the car. Unless you got some other woodgrain in the ride. But hey, its your whip, your taste.

That's cool, it's in the trunk so you don't really see it/need it to match anything anyway. As I stated before...it's different, and I can always throw some carpet on it if I get tired of it!

Thanks, I got a decent price on it on E-bay. I also think it's much quieter than the Fujita that I put on my wife's Altima. I was actually hoping that it would be on the quieter side, so I'm extremely please with it.
