Bell Automotive Clock/Temp Display

I have manual climate control in my 01 and have always been a little jealous of the guys with the temp displays in the auto climate controls. I have been searching around for a way to wire in a temp display and haven't come up with much. But today, I came across this thread: http://forums.maxima.org/3rd-generat...ermometer.html. Here's the link to the unit. Now obviously the pictures aren't loading, as the thread is from 2001. I tried looking on the OPs geocities website but this mod seems like the only one not listed. But my question is has anyone else done this? If so, do you have pictures? I would really like to not have the whole unit visible. I'd like to hardwire it if possible, as well. Any ideas?

Cool little device, but unfortunately I haven't ever seen a single car with it installed.

The original thread is correct, it shouldn't be too hard to pull it apart and mount the components separately for a cleaner look.

I'm going to stop by autozone on my way back from the post office this afternoon and see if they have any in stock. Only thing that makes me weary is I'm not good at soldering.

Not that hard. Couple YouTube videos and you'll be fine.
