Amps are bridged by connecting the possitive lead of one channel to the negative of another channel and using the remaining leads to connect the speaker.

an instructions manual for a JL Audio amp is here, if you want to verify
http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-in...AUDIO/300-2-_E
Also on page 3 top left it says that the 300/2 "optimizes power for any impedance between 1.5 and 4 ohms per channel (3-8 bridged.)" Even a JL 2 channel can't run 2 ohms bridged, and they were considered cheater amps back in the day. Orgional poster should have gotten a dual 2 ohm or dual 8 ohm sub instead of a dual 4 ohm.

Please, for your own safety do not try your theory. Perhaps you misunderstood what you were reading, so please do not try it. You should Not be connecting the amplifier to itself.
are you being obtuse on purpose?

what I said is exactly the same as the manual stating....try reading slower

How do you take these as being the same? Let alone exactly. In your theory you are using all 4 terminals - two of them connected together and the other two connected to the driver in question. The right way for it to be done as I already showed is two connect two of them to the driver, the other two are left unused. However I will make them larger for you to see this time.

Perhaps you should be reading slower ?

If you were to put a 2 ohm load bridged on the amp, it would really see a 1 ohm internal resistance, which would cause the power supplies pull more current, thus blowing fuses.

With your set up there is no power difference between a 2ohm stereo connection and a 4 ohm bridged connection. The amp will produce the same amount of power either way.
THANK YOU!!!
