So I got a rainbow amp from don about a month ago and got it installed at a place near me for $220. I noticed that there is a sort of high pitch humming when i'm driving and can notice it when the volumes low which is very annoying. Also tonight the rear left speaker went haywire for about a minute and then went back to normal. Could it have been grounded incorrectly and the crossovers messed up or something? I really have no idea.

 

Probably Alt. Whine from a bad grounding point or your speakers could be going up but for 220bucks!!! you should be able to take it back and tell them to correct it no problem

 

That seem a bit too high for an amp install, did you have other things installed besides the amp? I would vote bad ground somewhere also. Good Luck

 

just take it back to the shop, they will fix it if they're at all decent

 

Yeah it cost me 220 just for the amp install lol. And yeah i'll just give them a call.
