Double din capable?

I have searched, and this may be a very noob question, but I can't find an answer. I have a 2002 Maxima...replaced the Bose head unit with an Alpine CDA-9883 2 years ago. I am looking to upgrade to a better head unit and am thinking about getting the Pioneer AVH-P6000DVD. It's a 2-DIN 7" touch-screen. According to Crutchfield, it won't fit in my dash opening. Can anyone confirm or disprove this?

i looked around for the same reason when i got my dvd receiver. im sure you can custom fab something, but i just ended up gettin the DIN sized fold out screen anyway. theres nothing anywhere that i know of that will adapt a 5th gen to a double DIN opening

That sucks, I am not really a fan of flip-out screens. Maybe I'll just stick with my Alpine then.

You can fit a double din. Either get the GXE kit or the schoche kit
