Old Aiwa deck, no pre amp outs + amp=???

Doing a budget, my suggestion, system for my friend. We just put in an old deck she had left over from her old max and then getting a 4ch amp, components for front and and probably 2ways for the rear. Now, since the deck has no pre amp outs do I just run the speaker wires from the back of the hu to the amp and then from amp to the crossovers for the components and from amp straight to rears? Am I just better off getting a cheap deck online that has pre amp outs?
I tried searching but most of the stuff that came up was about the bose HU, figured it would be similar but not sure...

You can use a pair of line out converters to convert the signal from the speaker outputs of the Aiwa. Or you can get an amp that has high level inputs and run the speakers wires from the Aiwa into the amp that way, but the amp MUST have high level inputs.

in that case you need nothing. Just wire the speaker outs from the deck to the high (spk) level in on the amp, no need for RCA. then, the outputs go from the amp straight to the speakers.

Yeah. Just found some literature online and it does indeed have high level inputs. Dammit though, I forgot all the formulas and calculations from when I was doing the setup in my car. Wish I still had the oscilloscope I built in high school, no formulas to mess with...

What formulas do you need? Directly wire it right in.

I still think it's overkill for a system of this "magnitude."
