Bose Sub Inop - Troubleshooting Help!

Hi, all ~ This may come across as a sort of a newb question, but I've searched and can't find anything that addresses my particular issue. SO here goes!

I recently acquired a 2003 SE TE Max. When I bought it, it had an aftermarket headunit (Kenwood Ez700SR) and the Bose sub wasn't working (and I mean not working at all - not low power, no sound, period) but the steering wheel controls worked. I figured maybe the previous owner went ahead and got the steering wheel controls hooked up, but not the correct wiring for the sub. Intermittently, if I went over a hard bump, the speakers on the driver's side would cut out too, I figured the wiring was done shoddily. So I ordered a new Schosche Nissan/Infiniti Factory Integration Adapter
1994-up Nissan/Infiniti harness from Crutchfield, and when it arrived I dug apart the dash to see what was going on behind the radio.

This was yesterday. I found back there the Pac Audio steering wheel control hookup (SWI-X), the Kenwood iPod interface, and the same Schosche unit that I had ordered. I figured what the heck, maybe the unit was defective, so I replaced it with my brand new unit. Still no sub. Tried every setting on the radio, checked the fuses (yup, shoulda done this first, but why start with the easy way!), looked at all of the wiring... still nothing. Adjusted the gains on the Scosche, and that just made the speakers sound better, but still nothing from the sub. The sub and amp appear hooked up from their end, but it doesn't seem that there is any sort of indicator on the amp to show power like there is on aftermarket amps.

Without digging apart the entire interior of the car to find out if there is a loose connection somewhere (which I'd really rather not do) is there anything else I can check/do? I now know that all of the wiring is sound, and that the Scosche converter harness works just fine. I just don't have any other ideas as to what could be causing this issue. At this time, replacing the head unit really isn't an option, it's still under a subscription to Sirius satellite radio which I'd rather not lose till it expires. Could it be that this head unit is such that it just won't power the sub? I find it hard to believe...

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I know this is a long question, but I wanted to provide all the info I know. Thanks!

So after some even more in depth searching, I discovered a couple of threads about soldering a few connections on the sub's circuit board that helped solve "cutting out" issues. I'm hoping that maybe I'm just experiencing a lengthy "cut out" with this car. Those threads did specifically deal with '00 and '01 Maximas, so hopefully since the 2003 shares a sub with the '01, mine will be the same.

Still open to any other suggestions.
