2007 Maxima BOSE Door speakers in a 2007 Altima SL

Hey guys,

So I drive a 2007 Maxima that I fitted way back when I first got the vehicle with JL Audio ZR 6.5" speakers, subs, etc. Basically I took out all the factory BOSE speakers which were perfectly fine, and replaced them. Car works great, sounds great etc...

In any case, my wife on the other hand drives a 2007 Nissan Altima SL. And one of her factory "Non-BOSE" speakers blew in the door. So i decided to take a look, and I took off the front driver's door panel and took out the speaker. The 2007 Maxima BOSE speaker and the 2007 Nissan Altima speaker are literally, an exact matchup in terms of how it bolts to the door and fits in the door. HOWEVER... the "speaker connector plug" is different. The grooves for the plastic plug connection don't match up. It's almost as if it's "reversed."

I was wondering if anyone knows if there's an adapter harness (converts the connection plug of the altima to the maxima) or if there's someplace I can buy the plug and just wire it up myself? I temporarily tested it in the door just using some aligator clips, and it seems to work just fine as a direct replacement... just need to get the correct clip / plug modification...

Any one know about this?

Clip the connectors off and solder them directly and correctly with positive and negative wires. Problem solved

I don't want to "chop" the OEM connectors off. I want to use the factory connectors.

The BOSE speakers are 2ohm, I'm not sure if the non-BOSE are 2ohm, or 4ohm.

The Bose speakers typically have lower impedance (ohm rating) which allows the Bose amp to be lower wattage and still push the speakers hard. It might eventually blow the Bose speaker bc of mismatched specs.

Since you want to keep the original connectors, you may consider going to a pull-a-part and harvesting some speaker connectors there. Would be like $5. I've had great success in NC with pull-a-part. Lots of Nissans.
