Car-puter Car PC display question

I'm looking for a double-din sized display for my car-pc. I got a laptop ready to go, just need a display. I found a display with touchscreen for cheap. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Xenarc eh? If their reputation is that good, then I'll go for it.
BTW, do you have your display angled upwards for viewing? Or straight flush-mount?
Thx!

well i dont have it anymore it was in my old truck (99silverado) angled sligtly up but it was in the lower console alot lower than the max would mount. im a computer guy and did tons of research b4 i bought my 2nd one so yeah mp3car forums should have some reviews. also if u have the cash ide go with a solid state drive now that the technology is there. faster and more reliable being in a car and all

I haven't been on mp3car in the longest time. I also don't have maxima anymore, i'm in a solara now. But I still hang w/the local Maxima guys.
I have another question: if you were going for a 7" dbl-din display without touch-screen, what would you recommend? Xenarc again?

And you know what a touchpad is.

To give u an idea how long ago I've been thinking about a car-puter, I remember when this first came out, and was the hottest thing:

The Lilliput screens work fine for touch and display. I have the EBY-701 in my car, you can check the mini thread here: http://forums.maxima.org/audio-elect...c-project.html

Only time I have difficulty is when the sunroof is open and its bright and sunny. You can spend money on a transflective display but be prepared to spend hundreds upon hundreds.

I sourced a 7" screen, and a touchscreen overlay film. I also sourced an XP laptop (thinking of locating a busted tablet so I can use XP Tablet 2005). Next issue: How do I automatically power up and power down the laptop with the ignition?

I have had 3 Lilliput screens and they all worked fine for touch and video.
