2002 maxima immobilizer

I am putting a remote starter in my wifes car and I got everything to work but the car won't start unless the key is in the ignition. How do I bypass the factory immobilizer.

Thanks

carl.

By stuffing a chipped key somewhere under your dash.

I held the factory key which she uses every day right next to the ignition switch and it doesn't work. If I push that key about 1/4 the way in the key switch it starts fine.

There should be a separate module that you have to buy that you put, and leave, your key in. You'll hide that module somewhere under the dash when you install it.
