Ok, Bose confusion

Alright, i bought My Maxima off a random find.So i didn't know to much about em.{still kinda dont]

Im wondering if I HAD a Bose system or not.Because....
-The back Speaker Grilles say bose (Bought with no Speakers there) still none there.
-Front speaker grilles dont say bose and im pretty sure there not (no eveidence of amps and they look kinda generic)

- theres holes in the plastic piece thats direct opposite side of the side mirror,(both doors like something was installed there [tweeters??]

-seeing pic of tweeters in the actual door ..i dont have that.

- and seeing ppl say bose speakers dont work with aftermarket recievers

The only place it says Bose is on the original speaker grilles in the rear and on the factory head unit. If it says Bose on the rear speakers then it had it from factory. All maximas come with tweeters in the pillar by the mirrors or on the door. Many people have put aftermarket head units in with stock Bose speakers and amps with no problems. So, i would say yes you had the Bose system.

id look in the trunk for a factory amp. if it was bose itd say bose on the cassette door unless it was rubbed off, the back of the headunit will say clarion regaurdless if it is bose or non bose. the bose speakers would look generic because they are generic but the bose would have small amps attached to them.

^ the amps are built in to each speaker, so if his rear speakrs are not there he won't see a seperate amp.

Does your car have leather and auto climate control? If I recall correctly it all came as a package, so from the factory if 4th gens had cloth and manual a/c, no bose. If they had leather and auto climate, then yes, it should have come originally with bose.
