Removing 07' Headunit for Nissan iPod kit install???

I went to install the Nissan iPod gateway today and after I removed all the center console trim and faceplate to the headunit I could not get the headunit out to get to the harness and install the iPod gateway box. I removed for brass screws that held the complete head unit/nav screen cage but I could not get it to move more than 1" away from the dash.

Has anyone installed the iPod kit from Nissan in an 07 or 08 with Nav? Any help would be great. The instructions are alittle lacking on how to actually pull the headunit out of the dash. The only way I see it happening is to remove it from the cage but there are 4 screws and you can't get to them without removing the entire headunit/nav screen etc..

Thanks

I'm not certain its the same, but

theres directions for without nav on an 07-08.

If not, look up the radio kit on metraonline.com, and view the instructions to get the radio out
