Dynamat the deck and make some MDF adapters and slap them in.

Instead on concentrating on quantity, why don't you concentrate on quality? I only had one set of components in my cabin, and I can guarantee it sounded better than what you're trying to do with yours.

Sell them, use the money for a proper set of comps.

Do it once, do it right. When you half-*** it, you won't be happy, and it ends up being more expensive in the long run, spending to make it right when it could have been from the beginning.

And, not to turn this into a financial 'scolding' but if components are too expensive, then maybe there's some re-prioritizing to do.

No he has a 5th gen, which does not have speakers in the rear deck like the 4th gen does.

Which means he's permanently modifying the rear deck, something that I'm not an advocate of.

Suggestions on how to modify your rear deck? My personal suggestion is not to do it.

Why? because the only hole in the rear deck is the square one in the center for the subwoofer. Everything else is flat sheet metal. Not only would you have to cut the rear deck cover itself (fairly easy), but you'd also have to cut sheet metal underneath for you to be able to drop speakers in. Not exactly a "fun little project" as you think it may be.

Yessir, I am still making them. Though this snow is not helping with production.
